PLDC - The Croatian head coach of the
Iranian National Team, Branco Ivancovic, has presented the victory of Iran
against Japan to Ali Daei, National Team captain and Al Shabab player. In
the post match interview with
Ivancovic, he commented, "I am as happy as all Iranians about this great
victory. We will give this victory to Ali Daei, who lost his father last
week. This is everyone's feeling in the National Team. He is a legendary
player in Iran and all over the world."
"Daie is the most famous player in the Asian Games and I am sure that he
will continue this course in the future. In the absence of players like
Daie, Vahedi and Mobali our team was incomplete, but the boys proved in
yesterday's game that they are completely prepared both physically and
technically."
"In the match against Japan, I believed in my boys and knew how they were
going to play. Therefore I knew that they would win. I knew that only bad
luck would make them lose. We had practiced and trained for three months
before Busan. I feel pride in this victory."
Ivancovic also thanked Safaei Farahani for providing suitable facilities
for Mr. Dadkan (new head of the IFF) and the National Team and for his
effective work in the IFF.
